Building Heritage - Bent Books

The past, present and future are interconnected. Through nostalgia, imagination and storytelling we connect with each other, and with place. A place can trigger many emotions and this artwork seeks to provoke a reminiscence of past spaces and places that we hold in our memories.

Paying homage to the iconic West End store, Bent Books, 'Building Heritage' exhibited across the shop windows in June 2024. The work featured opalised colour vinyl shapes across the glass as a canvas and an augmented reality experience featuring three iconic and nostalgic Brisbane places.
